Day 2: The best teacher I’ve ever had

I think I am going to have to break this down into categories.

Elementary School: Mr. Edmunds was my 3rd and 4th grade teacher. He was awesome because he actually made school fun. He played folk songs on the guitar, he taught us the pledge of allegiance in sign language and he always knew how take the regular assignments and tasks and turn them into a game or competition.

Nursing School: One of my first professors in nursing school stayed one of my most trusted advisors. She was always confident in my abilities and potential. She helped me remember why I was in nursing school when I was dealing with the most evil clinical instructor. She wrote me letters of recommendation that had “Hire her!” hand written at the bottom.

Teachers are varied in their influences and I have had many in my extended school life. I’m sure that there are teachers in my past that might have been “better” but these two made an impact.
